For a number of years our school was a secondary school for girls knows by the name of Maria Goretti Secondary School. In September 2014 our school changed its education system to a Co-ed setup. This was a result of the education reform that gave rise to Middle Schools for Year 7 and Year 8. Our school caters for around 300 students at Year 7 and Year 8 level. These students come from the locality of Marsaxlokk, Hal Tarxien, Santa Lucia and Fgura. The Middle school of Hal Tarxien forms part of the St Thomas More College.
