Mission Statement:
The aim of our service will focus on involving the residents in the running and sustaining of the Home, as well as in educational activities/courses which will help service-users develop skills and enhance their employability. The residents will be encouraged to participate actively in living as a group in an effort to enhance their social skills. They will also be supported to involve themselves in the community, to prevent isolation.

The aspect of the Home which focuses on sustainable living is one which has resulted in positive outcomes for the residents so far. A number of persons who have benefitted from the programme and who had been diagnosed with such conditions as ADHD have become calmer and have been discharged by their psychiatrist. This aspect will continue to be developed and will be seen as an important contributor to the well-being of the residents.

We don’t normally refuse placements as long as there is room available or unless the acceptance of a new resident is harmful in any way to the residents already living at the home or the staff.

One must understand that this is neither a hostel nor a hotel. This is a residential home, based on communal life. All residents are asked to cooperate to live in a community independent of their beliefs, culture, background and/or their past.
