Mission Statement

ER supports colleges and schools across all sectors by providing field placements to future educators, deploying of staff and monitoring the allocation of education resources as well as ensuring the competence of education resources in a safe environment, approving human resources within the church sector as well as approving the qualifications of childcarers and childcare centre managers.

ER believes in the provision of quality education for all to succeed.

ER reaches its objectives by collaborating, communicating and cooperating with all stakeholders by providing induction programmes to Newly Qualified Teachers and Newly Recruited teachers and School’s Senior Leadership Team as well as mentoring.

Resourcing Directorate

The Resourcing Directorate within the People Management Department is responsible for the recruitment, selection, appointment, deployment of non-teaching grades, confirmations, increments, progressions, promotions, discipline and all kinds of leave including sick leave. This directorate has under its remit the PSMC and all the Directives falling under the Public Service, especially directives 7, 9 and 10.

The Programme Implementation Directorate

This section within the Directorate is responsible for monitoring the implementation of budgetary measures, EU funded projects and other initiatives that fall under the responsibility of the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation. It oversees and coordinates with a view to ensure that such projects and initiatives are implemented in a timely and efficient manner, in line with good governance and sound financial management practices.
