​Mission Statement

Parents and Teachers are given the opportunity to work together, to improve the school environment and to make schools a better place, where students can be educated in a holistic way feeling safe and loved.






  • Guide School Councils Elections which are held every two years
  • Keep updated database of all School Council Members
  • Keep database of all School Council Meetings held during each scholastic year
  • Keep data of Annual School Council Financial and Administrative Reports
  • Pass on information to parents and teachers re school council regulations
  • Keep school councils updated about any special days to be celebrated at schools
  • Promote good practices in schools
  • Provide any assistance required by School Councils






  • Schools receive circulars with relevant details, instructions and forms
  • Schools send updated data of new School Council Members
  • Head of School, as Council Secretary, to send Council Meetings’ Agenda and Minutes
  • Head of School, as Council Secretary, to send Annual Financial & Administrative Reports
  • School Council can invite representatives from Section to assist Council Meetings or any other School Council activity



General Information

School Council Elections were held in January 2017.  Out of the 102 School Councils, 42 Primary Schools,                4 Secondary Schools and 1 Resource Centre held elections for parents whereas 15 Primary Schools and                   1 Secondary School held elections for teachers.  The other schools had the exact number of contestants, therefore the Council was automatically formed.
Next School Council Elections will be held in January 2019.
